A Commander who has stepped away from the game could return whereas someone who has passed could not. We do have a process for stepping in when a Commander has passed away, but that requires verification of the passing and unaminous agreement of all Leadership on the replacement. In the absence of something stating a method of transfer from the person that owns the Clan itself, it's not something we interact with.

To my knowledge that hasn't happened, but I don't see why it couldn't. I imagine a Commander could write a Will to Customer Support and file a copy with their Leadership team in case of issue. If they merely want to take-over and start running a Clan because they feel entitled to do so, then a reality-check might surprise them.Įven "Pinky and The Brain" didn't try to take over the world by attempting a Clan-coup. If they want the benefits of a well-established Clan-Base, then the Clan Hub topic and Clan Search features offer a player the opportunities to find & join another Clan. If they want to continue their social connections, then starting a new Clan and continuing the relationships is feasible.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but I gotta wonder about the motivations of people wanting to take-over a clan instead of starting their own or joining another well-established Clan. Those are merely some of the possible explanations for a Clan Commander or other Clan Member to leave the game for an extended period of time (and not return?).īut, the Clan wiki is pretty clear on the ownership of a Clan and WG/WOWs policies regarding Clan management and reiterated that with his post in this topic. ~ Illness or death, especially an unexpected death. They leave the game and don't look back and don't have consideration for those who depend upon them. ~ Change of heart about one's interest in playing the game. Example = death in their family and the time commitment needed to handle the deceased estate and journey through one's own grieving process. ~ Military Deployment, or a long-term employment in a remote part of the world (or even a mission to space?). That said, there are legitimate reasons people may take an extended break from playing the game. I grok the sentiments of some people who are in Clans that become "inactive" in the eyes of some of its membership. What contract sign offs does Wargaming have when commanders create the clan? If money is still an issue, shouldn't there be a system in which an active WoWS player in the clan have the ability to transfer the money to the player that started the clan so they don't lose their original investment, a transfer of custody. Shouldn't there be a review on how the Clan system is setup for in such instances as this? Is the Clan system setup on the WoT schema? Why is there a money setup fee for creating a clan? Where is the teamwork in keeping the team together? I cannot understand why the clan is poisoned by Wargaming just because the commanders leaves WoWS.
